I wanna play one of these, however, when you compare this to a regular rakshasa there are some wierd things. First off the Ak. Rakshasa casts spells as 12 level sorc. while norm. Rakshasa does as level 7 sorc. Ak. Rakshasa can create its own host of undead and can rebuke undead. But with all thses abilities the Ak. Rakshasa only gets LA+5 while a normal Rakshasa gets LA+7. Why is this so?

Because the Ak'chazar has a lot more racial hit dice (RHD) than a normal Rakshasa.

Effective Character Level (ECL) = LA + RHD + class levels.

So, an Ak'chazar character will actually be a 22nd level character, even if it doesn't have any class levels. A normal Rakshasa is a 14th level character without class levels.
