I'm building up a character in FR, and I'm looking at my options, and I can't seem to make up my mind with a race. I'm caught between a synad and a mulhorandi region human, and I was wondering if any of you have played either.

I'm making a monk/psion gish and I'm leaning towards synad if not just for the multitasking ability. Imagine, a monk that's kicking one guys' ass in melee and disintegrates another nearby. Or body adjustment, etc. The precognition and what not is also cool, I'm even for the knowledge check one. Basically, I'm into more fluff than crunch with my characters, and the synad is great for that.

But, I'm also looking at the Godsight regional feat for mulhorandi humans and it also looks fantastic, giving you "Detect Good/Evil/Law/Chaos/Poison/Magic + Read Magic" magics that I could also use throughout their career. And the extra feat is always good.

I'm looking for people that have played either and to give me some insight on to how they've used it or seen it used. Ups and downs and whatnot.

I thought I was VERY fammiliar with the Realms, but I've never heared of any synad. So I would definitely advice to play a Mulhorandi, because that people has a well established place in that particular world.

I always wanted to play a Synad named O'Connor... she'd be a bald chick with extremely vocal world views, anti-religion, and be a professional singer.
