| Kayoz_Majick12-20-07, 11:47 AM | Has anyone thought about or tried to set something up like the UberGenerics classes for races? Wouldn't it be interesting to have a totally unique race along with a totally unique class from everyone else in your group/town/world? You could have an elf... Bretty basic, right? well, don't forget to add in the incorporeal subtype, just because you can! well, now that you have spent points, you need to balance it out... so lets take...Aversion to sunlight like a vampire, so that you have lesser stats during daylight hours (or switch it around so that it's during the night, and you are "dazzled" in deep shadows and underground as well!) well, that accounts for 1/2 of the points spent, so, we need something else to account for some points.. How about a level adjustment? Okay, so we now have an incorporeal elf-looking thing, with an aversion to the night-time and has a level adjustment of 1. YAY! what about making a construct that is playable without having an ECL of 15, like the Inevitable Zelakut (or whatever it's called).... Add in some INT so that you can actually play it, drop some of the HD (and some of the special abilites, or make them a progression anyways) and presto! Just some thoughts, or comments, if anyone has tried something like this, or possible suggestions about how to accomplish said task. |
