Warning: I'm not intending to balance this or figure out a LA, this is intended for a specific campaign for only 2 players who will be both Atlantian.

Use whatever myth you like for determine what happened to Atlantis.

"Atlantian" is an inherited template that can be added to most humanoid creatures. As long as 1 parent is Atlantian then there is a chance that any children might be Atlantian. Children grow up as the base race, and develop into Atlantians during puberty.
An Atlantian uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities.

Size & Type: The creatures type does not change and it gains the (Atlantian) subtype.

Special Abilities:
• Sleep Control: An atlantian only needs 1 hour of sleep per day, and can go a week without any sleep. They still need 8 hours of rest to regain spells. As a full round action an Atlantian can go to sleep for a precise amount of time and then wake up. If forced into a natural sleep they may wake up instantly. If forced into an unnatural sleep (ir magic or posion) an Atlantian can repeat the saving throw every round untill awake.
When an Atlantian is asleep they are never "unconcouse" [sp], they mind is in the Library of Atlantis (see below). As such they never have dreams or nightmares, thier dreams cannot be veiwed or entered.
When building or crafting something and Atlantian can it in half the time.

• Library of Atlantis: This is not a real location (although every one else believes that it is), but a racial / common memory that all Atlantians share. When asleep an Atlantian is in an infinate library holding the entire knowledge of the race, just not very organized. While asleep they "write" their thoughts and create "books" for others, and if they die while asleep then their entire life becomes a book that can even be comunicated with.
The more common the topic the easier it is to find. If you wanted to know what goblins like to eat you have to go through all the books about goblins, ro all the books about food.
[this is mostly a plot device and to explain some of their other abilities]

• 1 extra feat at 1st, 2nd level, and every 3 levels after that.

• gains stat increase at 2nd level and every 4 levels after that.

• 8 extra skill points at 1st level, and 2 extra skill points every level after that.

• Automatic Language: Common and Atlantian. Bonus Languages: Any (even secret languages, such as Druidic). See the Speak Language skill.

• Favored Class: ALL. An atlantian never takes a penalty for multiclassing. Due to the Libray ability, they never need a trainer for level, feat, and even prestige classes that are not dependant on organiziations.

Apperance: same as base. Every Atlantian has markings / tatoos that grow as thier power increases. There is no set style, they could be simple dots, look like celtic knot work, full colored pictures. Every atlantian is different. At low level they usually stay on the chest and back, but buy level 20 they will covered 90% of the body. What 10% is uncovered is up to you.
Height: same as base. Gains 1/2" (1/4 if small) every 50 years. Gains 1/2" (1/4 if small) every 2 levels.
Weight: same as base
Aging Effects: Adulthood same as base, then goes as follows; Middle Age 200 later , Old 300, Venerable 400, Maximum age modifier +4D100

Not bad, although you could just as easily allow them more feats and skill points without using a template (since its for just two players in a specific campaign.)

Good flavor ( it wouldn't be so out of place to allow the Library of Atlantis ability to give them an Atlantian Knowledge check akin to a Bard's Bardic Knowledge.)

Have you seen Arcane Unearthed (Monte Cook's 3.5 variant campaign from Malhavoc?) It has a class called Akashic (based on the akashic records, very similar to what you're doing here.)

Very . I really like the Library of Atlantis effect. I'm interested in hearing more of your ideas.

This inspires me to flesh out a few Atlantean campaign ideas of my own. Thanks!
