| Hooper08-25-07, 10:54 AM | Does anyone know how to properly apply the undead class to a basic character race at character creation? All I can find is Skeleton/Zombie/Etc. and what I need is just a very basic Undead template. If that makes sense, anyone who can help me out? -Hooper |

| Context08-25-07, 11:42 AM | The Book of Vile darkness has the Corpse Creature and Bone Creature templates. Bone creature is LA+0, which can be applied to a level 1 character. It's pretty broken, but if your DM is willing to let you play undead at level 1 he'll probably allow it. The other option is necropolitan from the Libris Mortis. They're undead created by a ritual with the coolest name ever (Crucimigration for the win!). They have some... odd entry requirements, but do not technically have LA. |

| vanilla68609-01-07, 12:31 AM | Also, i was suggesting this to another topic, but the Legends and Lairs' Mastercraft Anthology included a race called Eleti, skeletal undead who are usually good and seek to prove themselves useful to society, rather than vengeful of those who still live. Might be worth looking into. The race could use some tweaking for balance/flavor sake, but overall a good one if you're trying out undead characters. |
