Becomeing a Half-celestial [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-08-07, 11:37 AM Is there any way to gain the Half-celestial template in game?

10-08-07, 01:01 PM It is generally assumed that you're born that way but I imagine you could invent some kind of magical ritual to fuse your essence with that of a celestial which provides you the benefits of the template. The details of the ritual are up to each individual campaign, but the dragon Ashardalon became a half-fiend by replacing his heart with that of a fiend for example.

10-08-07, 02:20 PM My DM did it with my character using the concept of past lives (he's a Monk and in his first life he was born a half-celestial) and ancestral weapons. He finally got the template when he made it to level ten after weeks of visions and dreams of his past lives after being told for the whole of his life that he knew things he couldn't or shouldn't know and was an 'Old Soul'.

She was a ultra Paragon Follower of Sune and "unknowingly" used the a Ring of 3 Wishes to the effect of "I wish I could have audience with Sune I could get us out of this mess..." Basically she was granted Audience and via Deiffic intervention gained the Half-Celestial template. Freaked me out too, 'cause the DM said, "Your newest two levels, ya, those are gone..." before describing to me what I got in exchange.

that Jerk was always a stickler for Wish/Miracle...Grumble...wording always had to be just right for him to not screw us up...Grumble...

10-08-07, 04:01 PM A Prc that gave you all the Half-celestial abilites over 10 lvls with full Divine spell-casting progresion would be awsome. i wonder if i could sweet-talk my dm into letting me try that one.

DM: Yes Player?
Player: Can i create a Half-celestial version of the Dragon Disciple :bow:
DM: NO :noway:
Player:OH DM!; :twitch: Can i create a Half-celestial version of the Dragon Disciple :fight!:
DM: :ghosted:
