Best core race for Dragonborn of Bahamut [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-25-07, 05:40 PM What would be the best race to start with for a Dragonborn?
Warforged, Raptoran, elf..?
Also if you choose Raptoran do you loose the flight ability?

Raptorans don't lose their ability to fly and get to keep their wings, unless they want the draconic wings.

07-25-07, 10:29 PM Warforged is quite good, especially for arcane spellcasters, since you automatically lose your composite plating for free (which is really more of a hindrance than a benefit for wizards, and you save a feat).:)

07-26-07, 10:10 PM I like the dragonborn half-orc just because half orcs lose very little becoming a half-orc as well as having +2 str and +2 con which makes for a nice barbarian, fighter, or another melee class

There is nothing prohibiting a living construct from acquiring the dragonborn template.:)

07-27-07, 07:57 PM Mongrelfolk for +6 Con? Do you look like a humanoid dragon thingy of nondescript appearance, or a particularily ugly dragon man? It's luck of the draw with Dragonborn!

(Go heart, +3DC on breath weapon isn't bad ;) )
