Considering all the spikes over his body. Would he have to buy special armor in order to use razor storm if he could wear armor? What about other creatures with natural armor?

I don't see why not. Unless is specifically states so, then they should be allowed to.

Natural armor doesn't do anything but make a creatures ac higher. It stacks with
other armor bonuses and does not hinder their ability to wear armor.

Would it hinder their ability to use razor storm then? Since the spikes are shot frm their skin?

This is a fantasy game. Alot of things shouldn't work but they do and alot of things work out differently irl then in game.

Its not to far a stretch of the imagination to see the blades coming out the cracks of the armor. Or even making a few holes in the armor(won't hurt it that bad).

Even then only a few types of armor would suffer like half-plate and fullplate. You really don't need to worry about it 8).

basing my response off of a closely related race, the spikers (Planar Handbook) they can wear armor, but with difficulty. max dex bonus of armor is reduced by one, and Ac check penalty is worsened by two. the arcane spell failure chance is left alone though. it wouldn't be hard to make the jump from blades to spikes, so i think the rule could easily apply. i don't think that bladestorm would be effected though

If you're wondering what a good ruling on bladelings and armour might be, check out page 123 of your PHB for armour for unusual creatures.
