| Sleepwalker1366606-21-07, 02:58 PM | While I was at work I had an idea for a character, and a warforged incarnate seemed like an interesting idea, then it dawned on, do warforged even have chakras? |
| Rerecros06-21-07, 03:01 PM | Yes. I don't know what Meldshapers are, but if a humanoid qualifies, so does a warforged. |
| Xaktsaroth06-21-07, 03:02 PM | While I was at work I had an idea for a character, and a warforged incarnate seemed like an interesting idea, then it dawned on, do warforged even have chakras? Absolutely. Only requirement for a meldshaper is Con score of 10 + the number of melds you'd like to bind. Since Warforged have Con scores, there's no reason they can't be meldshapers. Hell, even undead, with no con score can become meldshapers if the take that Undead Meldshaper feat in MoI. Long story short: No problems here! |
| Sleepwalker1366606-21-07, 03:05 PM | Excellent, thank you for your help.:D |
| Salla06-21-07, 03:30 PM | I recall there being some rules weirdness involving the presence of the Warforged Body Plating and the chakra slot that would occupy the same slot, but I can't recall the specifics. |

Well, a warforged with plating (i.e., not having taken the Unarmored Body feat) can't wear armor or use magic robes, so I would think any soulmeld that simulates an item in that slot wouldn't fit. Unless you had the feat that lets you bind a meld to an occupied slot, of course; I forget the name. |

| foxtail06-21-07, 03:42 PM | Actually, I just now bothered to look it up. :P Split Chakra: "One of your chakras becomes capable of holding both a bound soulmeld and a magic item." |
| Taureus_Drakken06-21-07, 03:47 PM | It seems to me that you could also pay gp later on and have your Composite Plating made into an Incarnum Focus... |

Unless you had the feat that lets you bind a meld to an occupied slot, of course; I forget the name. THe Armour feats for Warforged take up the armour slot, and thus the warforged can't wear armour or robes. However, the available chakra locations are: Crown, Hands, Feet, Shoulders, Arms, Brow, Throat, Waist, Heart and Soul. The only one that takes up the armour/robe slot, if bound, is Soul. So, if you ever get to a high enough level to bind your Soul Chakra, make sure you take the Split Chakra feat to gain the benefits of your Warforged armour and soulmeld. :) |
| Xaktsaroth06-21-07, 03:55 PM | I was actually considering that idea. :D Incarnum Focus? That one of the new items from MiC? Soulbound Plating would be nice RP wise, being able to shift your AC according to the situation. :) |
