07-21-07, 05:09 PM im trying to get the Pounce ability with a Thri-Kreen monk...theres catfolk pounce which requires catfolk heritage...and theres lions pounce which requires the ability to wild shape...is there an easy way to either get catfolk heritage or to get the wild shape ability without sacking any more then 1 monk lvl?

07-21-07, 05:21 PM Barbarian, 1st level substitution from Complete Champion gives something pouncy, IIRC.

07-21-07, 07:37 PM HeroForge is an Excel character spreadsheet. I don't have it, so I have no idea which classes it does or does not include. However, I fail to see how using a variant is really all that difficult - just write the changes off to the side. Without using nonstandard classes or playing a race that has pounce, there really isn't anyway to get it.

Lion's Pounce, 3rd level Druid spell, Spell Compendium. Swift cast, full attack on charge.

But you have to cast that every time you want to make a full attack after a charge. I assumed the OP was looking for something permanent.

It really is only good for druids. But how many times a day do you think you are going to be getting off a clean charge?

I heard that one time somebody got off three charges in one session :D Honestly, I don't think I've ever even used a charge - the terrain is rarely, if ever, suitable for it.
