| xPariahx02-21-08, 09:14 PM | Hello I am looking for a race with a +cha and no la. Im looking because Im playing a sorcerer in an upcoming campaign. Thanks in advance. |
| RobbyPants02-21-08, 09:20 PM | AZNSupermarket put out a master race list (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=10002276). Check there and see what you can find. I know off hand that a few elf subraces have +2 Cha. Also, you can do the venerable dragonwrought kobold cheese for +3 to all your mental stats. Good luck getting a DM to allow it though. :P |
| Crimson_Concerto02-22-08, 12:15 AM | It's worth noting that most if not all races with a CHA bonus have a CON penalty, so it may not be in your best interest to play those. Honestly, you don't need a starting CHA of 20 to be an effective sorcerer. Human or pretty much anything else will do just fine. :) |

Human or pretty much anything else will do just fine. :) And you could take the racial bent feat as a Human, lets you put a +2 to a stat of your choosing along with a -2 to a stat of your choosing. +2 Cha and -2 Str is a good choice. |
| Adonis1x2302-22-08, 06:10 PM | Phrenic from xph has +4 charisma +2wis +2 int, a bunch of psionic powers, ability to take psionic feats and hold a psionic focus, and power resistance Edit: You also have minuses from nothing...just saying..I hate psionics but I used a phrenic human and am kicking ***** If you dont want the whole psion-y part of it you probably can get your dm to reduce it to a +1 LA, or if you use unearthed arcana you can get rid of the +2 LA by level 9 (or you can get rid of that +1 by level 3) |
| Kraz02-23-08, 12:00 AM | Tattered Ear Nezumi from Rokugan Campaign Settings. They've got +2 cha -2 wis. |
| sakuradm02-24-08, 09:51 AM | usually elves have a +1 or 2 enhancement so i've read. you could always go with a cloak of charisma +6 :D |
| sakuradm02-24-08, 09:52 AM | dont forget aobut a cloak of charisma +6 |
| sakuradm02-24-08, 09:53 AM | sorry about that i was having an error and it said it wasnt posted... |
| NightcrawlerMonk02-24-08, 10:47 AM | The easist way I know to find the race you want is to use http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/index.php Use the find/search option with "+2 Cha" and just sort though the ones that don't have a LA. Of course I belive CrystalKeep should just be used as a refrence. Once I find what I'm looking for I always look it up in the book (or an excerpt provided by wizards) just to make sure everything is correct. |
| sakuradm02-24-08, 12:20 PM | yeah, thats what i use as well, it's a bunch of collected ideas and files, and works pretty well, i have a link to it on my site as well :P |
| thorofasgard1302-24-08, 11:21 PM | my favorite... star elves +2cha -2con and the ability to make all items they possess ghost touch while under the night sky. |
| wolfwing02-24-08, 11:59 PM | well there is also the catfolk. +4 dex +2 Charisma with a +1 level modifier. |
| sally_jones02-25-08, 12:25 AM | spellscales from races of the dragon have +2 cha, -2 con. they event get cool meditations that let you do things like silent spell. there are also racial substitution levels for spellscale sorcerers. |
| AZNsupermarket02-25-08, 01:44 PM | Here are all your choices from WOTC published material for +0 LA races that get a bonus to charisma: Star Elf: +2 Cha -2 Con, medium, 30 ft., otherworldly touch (su), extraplanar (su), bard, humanoid (elf), unapproachable east pg.10 Spellscale: +2 Cha -2 Con, medium, 30 ft., sorcerer and same as base creature, humanoid (dragonblood), races of the dragon pg.21 Hellbred (Spirit): +2 Cha -2 Con, medium, 30 ft, hellbound (su), spirit (su), paladin, humanoid (hellbred), Fiendish Codex II pg.78 Lesser Aasimar: +2 Wis +2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., light (sp), paladin, humanoid (planetouched), player’s guide to faerun pg.191 Venerable Dragonwrought Kobold: -4 Str +2 Dex -2 Con +3 Int +3 Wis +3 Cha, small, 30 ft., sorcerer, dragon (kobold, reptilian, dragonblood), monter manual pg.161 and races of the dragon pg. 39 You can also add the Dragonborn of Bahamut pseudo-template without level adjustment to any of the races with a bonus to cha (beside the venerable dragonwrought kobold) and gain +2 con -2 dex, which stacks with your original ability adjustments. That may be helpful for a lot of these. Dragonborn: +2 Con -2 Dex, same as base creature, same as base creature, fighter and the base creatures, humanoid (dragonblood, same as base creature), races of the dragon pg.5 Other than that, you can just increase your age level and suffer the physical ability score penalties. |
