| ishpu05-28-07, 06:14 AM | so I was wondering how plausable/possible a drow becoming a member of this class would be... it is a sub race of elf... however the drow society seems to be very tightly controlled.... drizzt being the only one to escape from the underdark really it seemed, and the society being followers of lolth... |

It's just like having a half-orc paladin: it's extremely unlikely and would certainly be unexpected and against cultural norms, but it is possible (though it would get them thrown out of an orc tribe instantly). |

I would agree with what the other poster said and would add that if someone wanted to do that in my game there would be a SIGNIFICANT amount of in game questing and such that they would have to do to get to the point of being allowed to take on those duties. Proving themselves as it were. cmas |

| Seldriss05-28-07, 10:44 AM | drizzt being the only one to escape from the underdark really it seemed Hmm... Drizzt is just one drow among millions of drows in multiple worlds. He might be an iconic character and the cause of a huge amount of Drizzt-wanabees and drow-haters (and i can't blame them for that), but he is certainly not the only drow who escaped his people. There are many other drow renegades, outcasts, mavericks, in one word individuals. Ask DMs and players... |
| AMGriffin05-28-07, 11:28 AM | I'm sure plenty of drow flee the underdark. But of them probably remain CE or are CN. I doubt you're going to see many good-aligned drow. That's the problem everyone seems to have with Drizzt. |
| strenoth05-28-07, 11:31 AM | Heh, Ay one else read that fantasy series by David Weber? The one where that champion from a dispised race gets challeneged to combat by other champions of the noble war god, bcause they can't believe he was chosen by their god? |
| Johnny_Angel05-28-07, 03:33 PM | I'd say that it's just as plausible as an Orc claiming to be a Champion of Correlian and claiming that when Correlian stole Gruumsh's eye that he also stole -without knowing- a very small amount of control over orcs. |
