| YabaTheWhat04-24-07, 08:20 PM | Looks like their big benefit comes at 2nd level. Alter Self at will is a great talent to have, because it gives them access to races with natural weapons, natural armor, better movement rates, a swim speed, and if you use the right supplements, a fly speed (winged elf). That's in addition to the obvious disguise benefits. |

| YabaTheWhat04-24-07, 08:23 PM | Well, yes. Is that good or bad? Overpowered?Hard to say. They don't get much at first level, so it might be fine. Wizards get the same spell a level later. You might want to consider swapping the 2nd and 3rd level benefits. Also, consider having their type change to Monstrous Humanoid at either 2nd or 3rd level (preferably whichever level they get the ability boost, rather than stacking it with the upgraded shapechange). |

| Jaime_Wolf04-25-07, 01:14 AM | Take a look at the Cabinet Trickster in Races of Eberron. Technically it's a prestige class (and 10 levels long), but if there's such a thing as a paragon changeling, that would be it. |
