| Captain_Kobold05-24-07, 09:57 PM | I noticed that artificers can make constructs with a higher ECL than themselves... They can? Which ones are they? I also noticed that no construct lists its ECL So how do you know what the ECL of the constructs created by the artificers are? How do you calculate what the ECL is of a construct so you can add the soulfused construct template to it? Look at its entry in the source it appeared in. If no ECL is listed, the creature is not suitable for a player character. I don't know what the soulfused construct is, or where it is from, but I'm assuming that it does something that might make the construct usable as a PC. You might be better off simply adding the template to the base creature, and then calculating an ECL of the final creature. |

| runestar05-24-07, 11:13 PM | I think Savage Species has ECLs of golems as PCs. The flesh golem, for example, was given an ECL of 15 and its very own racial class progression, IIRC. Can they make intelligent constructs? The maug from fiend folio has an ECL of only 5. |
