Custom Made Elf Race [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-08-07, 03:38 PM Hey everyone. Your reading this from a community newb so bear with me. I'm Elessar, this is my first post and I have a question.

I'm attempting to make a custom elf race called a "Storm Elf" consisting of a mix between two other elf races. I'm not sure what two races would be best to mix for what I'm trying to have it result in.

The character I created who will be of this race has albino skin, completely white eyes, black long hair, is thin, is agile and athletic. He's ideal as a deepwood sniper, or an impressive monk even.

Someone gave me a vague suggestion off the top of their heads that it could be a mix between a high elf and a drow, but I'm not so sure about the drow since his skin isn't dark like a drow, it's albino.

This new race I want to be able to see in dark a little better than the norm and still be able to see comfortably during the day. They are very smart and very keen and quick and they are decently wise.

I went through a list of elves and once wanted to make a mix between two elves that weren't even in the DnD world. One was a night elf from World of Warcraft and the other was the Sylvan elf from Lord of the Rings. But I figured it would be more fair and easier to deal with if the races I mix be strait out of DnD so that I can work with what Bonuses and the such would come out of it.

Any suggestions are very very welcome and very appreciated!

08-09-07, 01:21 AM You could just use regular high elf stats. High elves have dark hair and pale skin and etc. etc. You could also consider turning the tiefling race into a template and adding it to any elven subrace of your liking, or maybe just using a bloodline.

I agree, there really doesn't need to be any more elven subraces. There are already plenty of options just turning the flavor a bit doesn't really need to change their stats.
