10-12-07, 04:42 PM We're going to be playing in a arctic campaign soon, and I was wondering if there were any penguin stats that anyone knew of.

Also, more importantly, what do you think would be an appropriate LA for an anthropomorphic penguin? I have Savage Species, so you don't need to give me full racial stats, but I would like suggestions on the LA. I was thinking +1, depending on what the ability adjustments come out to be.

10-12-07, 06:56 PM In case you have Frostburn, there are penguin stats in there (at the end of the section about monsters). They aren't open content, obviously, but you shouldn't have any trouble reproducing them.

By the way, FB's penguin is tiny, 1/2 hd and very slow on land. If you're thinking of an emperor penguin, FB's stats are not for you.

A friend of mine when he was Dming an arctic campaign made an entire empire of anthropo penquins, with different species being different social classes/subraces. And he did a ton of research for it to. It was great.

O and were or awakened penquins were at worst slaves and at best lowest class. It was so much fun. "The land of never ending day and killer penguins" he called it.
