Thurbane 09-04-07, 08:03 AM	Hi all, I'm looking for a desert dwelling humanoid race, that has a bonus to Charisma and/or Intelligence. Ideally, should have no racial HD and be no more than LA +1 or +2. Any suggestions?
Orchomenos 09-04-07, 11:12 AM	Check the Desert Races (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/unearthedEnvironmentalVariants.html#dese rt-races)from Unearthed Arcana. There are none with a bonus to INT or CHA though. But you can apply the General Desert Racial trait to another race: General Desert Racial Trait All desert races gain the following racial trait. Heat Endurance: Members of desert races gain a +4 racial bonus on Fortitude saves made to resist the effects of hot weather. Perhaps a Desert Aasimar, descending from a Bralani for example. Or a humanoid with the Phrenic Template (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/psionicMonsters.html#phenric-creature): +2 INT, +2 WIS, +4 CHA, for a +2 LA. The Saint and the Half-Fey templates are also good choices for a greater Charisma.

Also Jaebrin (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM5_Gallery/106313.jpg) from Monster Manual 5 might be suitable (LA1, CHA+2, prefer temperate climes).
