In numerous supplements, there exist 'alternate class features'; basically, you swap one feature of your class for something different. For example, in Complete Mage, a specialist wizard can give up his familiar to get a special magical ability, or a druid using PHB2 could exchange his spontaneous summoning for generating fast healing effects. |

For Example: There is a class feature in UA that lets a wizard trade his "Summon Familiar" class feature for the druids "Animal Companion" Class feature with 1/2 progression. Do you get it now? |
| hyoseke03-29-08, 05:23 PM | Yes thank you. Just one more thing. What do you mean by 1/2 progression? |
