That is all. Some campaigns it would work better though. Ones with a release of alignment restriction. It was simply my opinion, not necessary right. After all, I used "I would say"

You are rebelling against your dad's evil ways and trying to prove that you can be good, despite your evil bloodline. So you worship the gold dragons as representative of the fact that dragons can do good int he world. Or a variety of other ways of explaining things. Being a half-dragon is a fact of your birth, but being a dragon shaman (and the dragon you follow) is a character choice, so there's no particular contradiction between them.

And half-dragon changes your type to dragon. In fact, Dragon Disciple specifically points out that half-dragons can't enter. Now, you could have a half-dragon dragonwrought* dragonborn kobold dragon shaman/dragon samurai and have like four different breath weapons. Probably add in one or two of those other dragon themed classes for additional dragonness and more breath weapons, but I'm not sure which get breath weapons (Dragon Devotee? Dragonrider? That invoker from Dragon Magic?) *Redundant, but seems appropriate.

As everyone has already said, yes you can do it; however, I would recommend agaisnt it. The +3 LA is pretty high, and the only reason I would do this is for flavor reasons (which sometimes can be the most important reason). Mechanically speaking, it would be a weak character. I guess +8 Str does go a long way to making up the lost 2 points BAB, but you'll still have far fewer HP. So, basically, you have to ask yourself if the concept of the character is more important than it's overall power level? Whatever answer you come up with will probably dictate your choice. ;)

I'm running a campaign right now which has both a Gold Half-Dragon Dragon Shaman and a Pseudodragon Dragonfire Adept. And a Dragon Descendant with a Force Dragon Bloodline. And a Bard with a Song Dragon Bloodline. And a Drow/Black Draconic Paladin of Freedom. /anecdotal
