| Dracomortis07-26-07, 11:09 AM | Well, she could get really chaotic and start favoring males. In one of the Drizzt novels,a priestess discovered that he actually had Lolth's favor - by becoming good and turning his back on the ways of his own race, he had committed just about the biggest chaotic act a drow could commit. She could pull something like that and start teaching drow to be good. She might even change her agenda from week to week - I imagine that would make drow society...err, interesting? |
| The_Shaman07-26-07, 02:36 PM | I think the priestess was just trying to rationalize her own inferiority. Her admitting that she is weaker than a heathen male warrior would be even more unthinkable than Lloth giving her favor to a heretic male. As for driders, they have been favored - of a sort - even before. Lloth was granting female driders cleric spells - that is pretty serious, as far as divine favor goes - and iirc even had one in her elite go-getter bands. Oh, and if you want the male driders gone, and she still commands the loyalty of the female driders and the rest of the drow race... She just has to give the word. Lloth does not have to make sense as we know it, you know. BTW, for more info on driders, see Dragon 312 if you have it. |

| Dracomortis07-26-07, 04:49 PM | Shouldn't this be in the Forgotten Realms forums? Neither drow, driders, nor Lolth are unique to Faerun, so most likely not. |
