06-11-07, 08:53 PM Half-drow are like normal half-elves, but with darkvision 60 ft. instead of low-light vision. Other than that, I don't know of any elven subrace with darkvision.

The Drow of the Underdark book hosed the half-drow; they don't get darkvision and are treated as a standard half-elf this can be found on page 220. Of course the DM can house rule that half-drow get darkvision.

Actually, you're off there. Most drow from eberron have the white markings, they're tattoos created from scorpion poison. Umbragen are just the first major display of such. (And even then, I bet half the illustrations for the umbragen were just generic drow pics when originally planned.)

Umbragen are effectively a drow subrace, tho, and very setting-specific.

Yes, there is a text for the Faerun half-drow in the same sidebar. For any half-drow to regain darkvision and several other benefits a new feat called Drow Legacy needs to be taken at 1st level with the drawback of also suffering from light sensitivity.
