| zeritou12-03-07, 04:05 PM | so I recently purchased the dragon compendium vol 1 and finally decided that I wanted to play as a (pair of) dvati (page 14 of the compendium, dragon issue #271, may 2000) and I found a small problem: equipment: there are two "people" for each dvati character, does that double the cost of armor/clothing/magic items since each person would need a set? and then if thats the case: how would i deal with being monetarialy far behind the rest of the party? should i figure myself as two chars for the purpose of splitting up loot? any help would be appreciated, please no "omfg that race is broken/stupid" posts |

The benefit of objects worn by one of the twin does not (always) extend to the other, so they are 2 seperate persons for material possessions. Of course some objects can grant an effect (spell-like) that qualifies for sharing according to the racial ability. |

Depends on whether you can talk your group into it... Best argument would be that being to far behind equipment wise would bring down the parties effectiveness. Also, Dvati are BEST suited to the less equipment dependent classes. I.E. people who don't need armor. Because since they split the base HD between the two bodies, a Barbarian ends up with Rogue like HP. Be a mage, pump up your Con, and consider taking the bonus HP feat (forget the name). |
