I have a question about dwarven scouts/rangers. Both these classes have the pre-req with many of their abilities that they have to be carrying a light load or less. Seeing as dwarves aren't really effected by the size of their load, does this kind of requirement not pertain to them?

No. It specifically says "light armour" or no armour in their entries. The Tumble skill, however, says "if speed has been reduced by armour or eqipment", so Dwarves can technically Tumble in full plate.

It would seem to me that a dwarven ranger would not be able to wear heavy/medium armor because while their speed may not be reduced, their range of motion would still be hampered.

It makes perfect sense to me that they could not wear heavier than light armor. I was more curious about their total load. I think I phrased the question wrong. Can they have a medium or heavy load and still use abilities that require a light load because they are not effected by medium and heavy loads?

Nope. It says their speed is not reduced by medium or heavy loads. But they still get a check penalty and lowered dex bonus to AC. So, they still follow the rules for carrying loads.

This wouldn't be an unreasonable houserule, or a feat that dwarves could take (heavily armored dwarven ranger seems cool to me), but as they said it doesn't work as written.
