| DracoRuler02-20-04, 01:19 PM | ok...my friend and i were arguing about ewoks the other day...and i was just looking for a second opionion...i know they are already in SWRPG, but, i dont play, so im just going off the movies ive seen...so this is what I THINK ewoks should be +2 Dex, -2 Str, +2 Int, -2 Wis small size speed: 20 feet immunity to fear +2 on hide and move silently +4 dodge bonus against creatures larger than medium (this overlaps their +1 for being small) Ewok Battle Cry (my friends idea) 1/day an ewok can yell YIPCHA! and get a +2 to str. for a number of rounds equal to 3+ their con. modifier... Weapon Familiarity: gain proficiency in: bola and shortbow Automatic Languages: Ewok, must take common as a bonus language, because ewoks have little exposure to other languages, and therefor have no reason to learn them but...my friend seems to think they should get a penalty to int. and a bonus to wisdom, but i see them as reletively inteligent, but lacking great judgement, espcesially when it comes to deciding which enemies to fight, and which ones to leave alone... feel free to nitpick all you want |
| Luminous Crayon02-20-04, 01:34 PM | Ewoks are statted out in the Star Wars d20 core rulebook. I've got the thing around here somewhere, but I don't think I can post it here. Edit: missed the part where you said you already know about that. Nevermind. |
| Harliquinn02-20-04, 01:59 PM | +1 size bonus and +4 dodge bonus should not overlap. THey should stack as normal. Battle Cry: I assume this is a morale bonus to STr? |
| DracoRuler02-20-04, 04:37 PM | i know...and normally they would, but this is a special condition...YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? |
| Harliquinn02-20-04, 05:51 PM | Yes, Yes I do actually. |
| eudas02-20-04, 06:00 PM | i hate ewoks, and people who are overenthusiastic about shortie characters only intensify my dislike for short-round races. eudas |
| Luminous Crayon02-20-04, 11:08 PM | You forgot to include Ewoks' +10 bonus to attack rolls, weapon damage, and AC when faced with overwhelming odds. |
| NZCardinal02-21-04, 03:36 AM | I wouldn't use an ewok as a character, but rather as a commodity that can be traded and eaten, or perhaps skinned for their soft fur. |
| eudas02-21-04, 11:22 AM | Originally posted by NZCardinal I wouldn't use an ewok as a character, but rather as a commodity that can be traded and eaten, or perhaps skinned for their soft fur. Ha ha ha haaaaaaaa, nice one, centurion. :) eudas |
| Willie the Duck02-21-04, 02:50 PM | Don't forget their extraordinary ability: Ruin (ex) - the very presence of an ewok in an adventure, movie or book enherently ruins it. |
| PsionScribe02-22-04, 05:42 AM | Oh no! You did not give the Ewoks climb! I'm glad you didn't say Proficiency with a Sling, because in Star Wars VI: The Return of the Jedi an Ewok is swinging the sling and it hits him in the face. Should've had training:rolleyes: |
| NZCardinal02-22-04, 06:36 AM | ... I wanna hit an ewok in the face now. You've inspired me. Having thought a little more about ewoks and their uses, I have come up with the following brief list :D 1) As fluffy projectiles for when you run out of trebuchet ammunition 2) As biological weapons. Infect them with something good and contagious and send them into the nearest city. The target will be the princess who will be bound to hug them... 3) As a rug, or several as carpet 4) As undead minions. A dead ewok, even a non-animated one, is going to be a far more efficient and worthwhile encounter that a living one 5) As spit'n'polish rags for warriors to use for their armour. |
| Sargtlin02-22-04, 12:22 PM | :heehee Just gotta love those. |
| NZCardinal02-22-04, 06:27 PM | In retrospect, I would have made number 1) this... 1) As fluffy projectiles for when you run out of trebuchet ammunition. Does subdual damage only. "What the ***k? an ewok just fell on me. Ow man... ow ow" |
| He Who Is02-22-04, 06:36 PM | Originally posted by NZCardinal I wouldn't use an ewok as a character, but rather as a commodity that can be traded and eaten, or perhaps skinned for their soft fur. Red or White wine? |
| NZCardinal02-22-04, 09:42 PM | Infects an ewok with something necrotic and catching and passes it to He Who Is Here ya go, do what you want to do with it  Moo Hoo Ha Ha |
| He Who Is02-22-04, 09:52 PM | Calls upon his personal diety to clense the evil touch of NZCardinal Red it is then. BWAHAHAHA! |
| NZCardinal02-22-04, 09:57 PM | I would have favoured rum personally, but nevermind. Ewok liver makes a *particularly* good pate, enjoy chum |
| He Who Is02-22-04, 10:01 PM | Uncouth Heathen. It always must be wine.....or whiskey. I was thinking of turning the Ewoks eggs into a kind of caviar also. |
| meadbee4204-03-05, 03:33 PM | Ewoks give live birth I think? very funny though :heehee |
| Demon Lightfoot04-04-05, 03:51 AM | Dangar, Ewoks! Ewoks rule. No doubt. They kicked arse on the bloody Wimptroopers, that's the truth of it; if anything had the potential to spoil R0tJ it was the excessively long "Emperor-Zaps-Luke-With-Force-Lightning-While-Vader-Gawks-Stupidly" scene. Jesus, way to pointlessly drag it out. Long live Teh Shorties! Yub-Nub! |
| Insane Pixie04-04-05, 11:53 AM | [shameless plug] They're a good race, but I prefer my Ewoks (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=398851). [/shameless plug] |
| Morgil11-08-06, 05:52 AM | Yub, Yub, commander |
| Andion Isurand11-08-06, 09:29 AM | +2 racial bonus on Climb, Craft (trapmaking), Use Rope I takes a lot of rope to make all those bridges, nets, swinging log traps and Tarzan manuvers. |
| malignor11-08-06, 09:41 AM | Hey! Don't knock Ewoks. I LOVE Ewoks. Especially slow-roasted, with a little butter and lemon. |
| fuzzycrusader04-07-07, 05:40 PM | interestingly enough, I have an Ewok spirit shaman. the stats I made up with the DM are small creatures -2 DEX, +2 CHA. Ewoks are cute and cuddly but rather clumsy. but that just makes them cuter! I gave them a +2 bonus to climb and a +1 bonus to survival. Since Ewoks live simply they probably know what plants to eat when they're hungry and what plants to eat to get high. I made the favored class Spirit Shaman from the complete divine only because thats what I wanted to play and didn't want a penalty when I multi-classed with a barbarian. its a pretty weak race but its amazingly fun to role play. my spirit shaman has a bison mount and a throwing axe that doubles as a peace pipe. |
| Sudnji_cas04-07-07, 09:51 PM | Jawa beats an ewok in my book anytime (Rodians too because of the way they talk) |
