Eyelox (Revision) - Any advice? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-30-08, 12:32 AM I reworked traits a little more. Any advice?

Eyelox are an alien race from another dimension. They stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and weigh between 150 and 250 pounds with long limbs and a giant eyeball for a head. Skin colors are on the darker side and eye colors vary greatly. An exoskeleton covers the body, including most of the eye. Eyelox drink and breathe through the skin. Eyelox speak using a form of external telepathy.

EYELOX RACIAL TRAITS
-+2 Wisdom, -4 Charisma. Eyelox have a keen instinct, but have an alien mindset.
-Aberration: Eyelox are not subject to spells or effects that affect humanoids only, such as charm person or dominate person.
-Medium size.
-Eyelox base land speed is 20 feet. It also has a climb speed of 20 feet (using Spider Climb).
-Darkvision out to 120 feet.
-+2 Natural Armor due to exoskeleton.
-+10 racial bonus on Spot checks.
--2 penalty on Listen checks.
-Light Sensitivity: Eyelox are dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell.
-Automatic Languages: Eyelox. Bonus Languages: Common.
-Favored Class: Scout.
-LA: +1

01-30-08, 01:20 AM 7-8 ft in height makes this a Large creature by the current creature size rules. Other than that it looks ok. As it is it's a weak +1, if the size changed to Large it would be a firm LA +1.

Skills (4 +Int): Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Knowledge (the planes) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Search (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language (N/A), and Spot (Wis).

* BAB F R W Special
Lvl1 0 0 0 2 AC Bonus
Lvl2 1 0 0 3 Improved Initiative
Lvl3 2 1 1 3 Ability Boost (+2 Wis)

AC Bonus - Add Wisdom modifier to AC when unarmored and unencumbered
