Favored Soul race? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-09-07, 03:33 AM What would be the optimum race to play as a Favored Soul? Optimum meaning best bonuses for the lowest level adjustment. I'm thinking Aasimar, since it gets bonuses to the two most important abilites for a FS, no ability penalties, and only at a +1LA. Is there another race that would work better I'm forgetting?

07-09-07, 03:42 AM Not that i know of. Plus Aasimar works for flavour, since the power is supposed to be god-gifted/inspired but not necassarily drawn from such said god

07-09-07, 04:14 AM if your looking to multiclass out or jump into a prc and aren't necessarily looking for the highest lv spells. Then Protectar from the Miniatures handbook is my suggestion. They are practically Angels already, with their Wings, and constant Tongues spell-like ability, They have great stat bonuses for a Favored Soul to. They only have a LA+3 and 2 Racial Hit Dice that give your Favored Soul more than he would have with a Aasimar. It might sound bad at first but trust me when you look over it, it really does fit the bill.

Str +4, Dex +2, Con +4, Wis +2, Cha +4
They have some other minor benefits to but I don't know how much I say without breaking the rules on.. whatever that was called that says you can't give out to much info. *shrug*
