| hobson197503-19-07, 11:29 PM | Do folks know if the vampire template progression that Sean Reynolds did a few years back is valid for 3.5? Also anybody used it? What did you think? I've got a PC who is interested in slowly becoming a vamp and thought this would work pretty well. Thanks - Jason ------------------- PS - below is the cut and paste of the progression as well as the link to the article from a few years back. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20030824a&pf=true Level CR Special 1 +0Con -2, blood drain (lesser), resistances (lesser), spawn slavery, spider climb, vampire bonus feats (Alertness, Dodge) 2 +0Str +2, blood drain (moderate), fortification (light), vampire bonus feats (Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes), vampire skills +2 3 +1Cha +2, Dex +2, coffin sanctuary (lesser), dominate (lesser), gaseous form (lesser), resistances (greater), slam 4 +1Str +2, alternate form (lesser), blood drain (greater), dominate (moderate), natural armor +2, vampire aversions, vampire skills +4 5 +1Wis +2, children of the night (lesser), coffin sanctuary (greater) , damage reduction 5/silver and magic, dominate (greater), fortification (moderate), gaseous form (moderate), sunlight & water vulnerability (lesser) 6 +2Int +2, Str +2, fast healing 1, natural armor +2, vampire skills +6 7 +2Dex +2, children of the night (greater), create spawn (lesser), dominate (superior), energy drain (lesser), gaseous form (greater), sunlight & water vulnerability (greater), undeath, vampire bonus feat (Combat Reflexes) 8 +2Cha +2, alternate form (greater), create spawn (greater), damage reduction 10/silver and magic, energy drain (greater), fast healing 5, natural armor +2, turn resistance +4, vampire skills +8 |

| Orchomenos03-20-07, 08:06 AM | Heck, I haven't completely read your post, I thought you created an home-made savage progression and was about to refer you to this exact article. These savage progressions are usually very valid. |

| hobson197503-21-07, 10:04 AM | I thought about the vampire spawn from Libris Mortis, but it automatically creates (assumes) the character is undead with all the +'s and -'s of that. The other thing is the vampire weaknesses. The progression that Sean R. did from the savage progression article was spread out those weaknesses which is more what I was looking for. |
