Gnoll Barbarian Movement? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-13-07, 10:35 PM What is the movement rate of a gnoll barbarian 2 wearing a +1 breastplate? Before armor, he has a movement of 40ft due to fast movement. A breastplate is medium armor so it should drop to 30ft, but a sample character I came across lists its movement still at 40ft.

If you can guess, this sample gnoll barbarian 2 is in the Races of the Wild. Are there any unofficial collections of errata for this and other WotC books that don't have official errata?

03-14-07, 12:21 AM Unless the breastplate is mithril the gnoll barbarian's movement should be 30ft. Do not always take NPC stat blocks as an exact science because WoTC is prone to make a lot of typos.

Nope. No special qualities like that. I kind of suspected that it was a mistake, but thought maybe there was something going on that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the assist.
