What does eveyone else think?

06-08-07, 01:05 PM I think it's fine as an LA +1. It's one of the few creatures actually worth it's LA, last I remember. What makes you think it needs to be higher?

06-08-07, 02:48 PM The half-ogre template increases the base creatures size by 1, thus giving them the corresponding changes to their ability scores, ie: even higher Str. Unless you're talking about a half-ogre race, in which case ignore this post.

But on the concept of being worth the LA, goliaths are one of the few LA +1 races that are mechanically worth it. That being said, goliaths have more oomph than the standard LA +1 race, and are on the borderline for LA +2, but not quite there IMO.

It's certainly more powerful than other LA +1 races, but I think it's good where it's at. LA +2 would be way too much.
