| TheDarkPrince08-09-07, 01:38 AM | Ok, so now I need help deciding between Human and Warforged. Any opinions? Thanks, Cheers! :D |
| IdleAltruism08-09-07, 01:56 AM | Theres nothing cooler then an artifacer warforged. Any race that can replace their arm with a rocket launcher/laser cannon is a winner in my book. And self healing with cheap infusions is always nice. |
| Rerecros08-09-07, 02:01 AM | Dwarves are the best race for artificer. Finally an armor wearing class with trapfinding, benefiting from both dwarven stonecutting and encumbered movement. Darkvision for those ancient ruins. saves to magic and bonuses to craft. Plus dwarves rock :D |
| JulesCARV08-09-07, 02:04 AM | I like the idea of a trap-obsessed kobold artificer. As far as human vs. warforged, though, it depends on the role you want. Do you mainly see yourself crafting items, or mainly buffing up and going into battle? If the former, human. Warforged artificers will have a very difficult time with item creation in early levels (you'll probably have around 12 charisma, 4 ranks in UMD, and your lone feat went to a warforged body feat (rather than, say, skill focus (use magic device). That means you'll probably fail any item-oriented UMD check you make.)) If the latter, warforged: infusing yourself is great. |
| Elemental_Elf08-09-07, 02:21 AM | I say Halfling. Granted it isn't the 'best' mechanical choice but darn it, its darn flavorful. Ok, maybe not flavorful but cool and different none the less. Between Warforged and Humans, I say go Warforged. Why? Because Warfored are simply cooler and more unique (everyone plays Humans, hell we're all Humans, be something cool!). :D |
