I have a dwarf wizard (actually a wizard/psion/cerebromancer) that rocks!

The 1st edition blood in me fought against making one but they rock as a wizard.

+2 con gives you much needed hit points, plus you can make those concentration rolls (based on con) all the elf wizards have issues with.

At level 1 with combat casting you are well on your way to never worrying about throwing out spells while threatened.

Darkvision helps you from being the lit up target as well & you can see those annoying critters.

It was just funny to have a level 1 wizard with a 18 con but only a 17 intelligence (I stuck my 17 in int & my 16 in con).

well, I'm really looking for something non-standard...a dwarf doesn't get an intelligence bonus...

Blues (XPH) are psionic goblins and get +2 Int instead of +2 Dex as well as get 1 bonus power point. That's it for differences. While the "Blues as characters" entry states they get LA +1, the stat block shows them with LA +0. Given the changes are so small (1 bonus pp means very little), I personally rule them to be LA +0. They should make good wizards.

No problem! (I compiled the list )
BTW, if searching through my list is too much of a hassle, here you go:

Here are all your choices from WOTC published material for +0 LA races that get a bonus to intelligence:

Gray Elf: -2 Str +2 Dex -2 Con +2 Int, medium, 30 ft., wizard, humanoid (elf), monster manual pg.104

Sun Elf: +2 Int -2 Con, medium, 30 ft., wizard, humanoid (elf), forgotten realms pg.15

Silvanesti: +2 Dex +2 Int -2 Con -2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., humanoid (elf), dragonlance campaign setting pg.20

Fire Elf: +2 Dex +2 Int -2 Con -2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., wizard, humanoid (elf), unearthed arcana pg.17

Deep Imaskari: +2 Int -2 Dex, medium, 30 ft., spell clutch (su), wizard, humanoid (human), underdark pg.9

Tinker Gnome: +2 Dex +2 Int -2 Str -2 Wis, small, 20 ft., special, dragonlance campaign setting pg.27

Lesser Air Genasi: +2 Dex +2 Int -2 Wis -2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., levitate (sp), fighter, humanoid (planetouched), player’s guide to faerun pg.191

Lesser Fire Genasi: +2 Int -2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., control flames (sp), fighter, humanoid (planetouched), player’s guide to faerun pg.191

Lesser Tiefling: +2 Int +2 Dex -2 Cha, medium, 30 ft., darkness (sp), rogue, humanoid (planetouched), player’s guide to faerun pg.191

Vanara: -2 Str +2 Int +2 Wis, medium, 30 ft. climb 20 ft., spirit shaman, humanoid (vanara), oriental adventures pg.15 – Note: in a 3.5 oriental adventures update found in Dragon magazine, vanara were updated to no longer have any ability score adjustments.

Venerable Dragonwrought Kobold: -4 Str +2 Dex -2 Con +3 Int +3 Wis +3 Cha, small, 30 ft., sorcerer, humanoid (kobold, reptilian, dragonblood), monter manual pg.161 and races of the dragon pg. 39

You can also add the Dragonborn of Bahamut pseudo-template without level adjustment to any of the races with a bonus to int (beside the venerable dragonwrought kobold) and gain +2 con -2 dex, which stacks with your original ability adjustments. That may be helpful for a lot of these (especially for races like fire elves and gray elves).

Dragonborn: +2 Con -2 Dex, same as base creature, same as base creature, fighter and the base creatures, humanoid (dragonblood, same as base creature), races of the dragon pg.5

Other than that, you can just increase your age level and suffer the physical ability score penalties.

Blues (XPH) are psionic goblins and get +2 Int instead of +2 Dex as well as get 1 bonus power point. That's it for differences. Unfortunately, the wizards of the coast's official XPH errata doesn't agree with you.

It would have been easier if the entry didn't contradict itself.

Oh well. Maybye as a psionic class, that pp does make a difference. I'll continue to rule them as LA +0 since they are so similar to a LA +0 race.

I'd definatly choose Deep Imaskari (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031003b). the Int bonus, Spell Clutch ability, and favored class: wizard really make them a great race for wizards. and you also get low-light vision as an added bonus.
But that's just my personal oppinion :D
