I have seen from many sources (Here's one for an example (http://www.anphillia.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=74364#74364)) that the hair of wild elves tends to lighten with age until it ends up being silver/white.

However, all my sources fail to mention when this lightening occurs. Does anyone know about when in a grugach's life the hair lightening happens? Is it an old age thing like with humans and greying hair, or does it happen sooner, perhaps before reaching middle age? An official source would help, but I doubt there is such a thing.

I bet one of the best sources you'll get is the 1e Unearthed Arcana or 1e MM2 (edit: not Fiend Folio).

2e Has the complete book of Elvis ... err Elves :), which is pretty much the same thing as far as physical description goes

[edit: FRCS would describe how FR deals with Wild Elves]

In 3e the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer describes them as pretty much like Wood Elves ... yellow to coppery hair and eyes of hazel/green.

iirc (and my memory is suspect) the 1e MM2 had them as dark haired.

Well, actually, here's the entry on wild elves from the SRD:
Wild Elf
Wild elves are barbaric and tribal. Wild elves’ hair color ranges from black to light brown, lightening to silvery white with age. They dress in simple clothing of animal skins and basic plant weaves.
Wild Elf Traits (Ex): These traits are in addition to the high elf traits, except where noted.
— +2 Dexterity, –2 Intelligence. These adjustments replace the high elf ’s ability score adjustments.
—Favored Class: Sorcerer. This trait replaces the high elf ’s favored class.

I'm just curious as to when their hair goes all silver. That way, I know when my grugach warlock should start lightening up. :D
