| Trachmyr11-08-07, 04:34 PM | Strongheart Halflings in FR. They lose the +1 to all saves though. |
| AtsuiShoto11-09-07, 01:40 AM | Totally worth it. Just an opinion. |
| foxtail11-09-07, 09:34 AM | Unless you need a different halfling subrace for your backstory, there's really no reason not to play a Strongheart. Want that bonus to saves back? Just spend the bonus feat on Luck of Heroes. |
| jradd77711-10-07, 12:06 AM | Is luck of heroes better? Or is it just negating the fact that you get a bonus feat? Get what I mean..? |
| Grizzled Gryphon11-10-07, 02:53 AM | Yeah, pretty much. Why use the Strongheart if you are going to use the feat to get what other halflings have? Might as well just use the other kinds of halflings. |
| foxtail11-10-07, 02:58 AM | My point being that with that option on the table, core halflings are left without a raison d'etre; at least from a mechanics standpoint. Also, if your campaign uses the optional retraining rules from PH2, the Strongheart leaves the door open to switch out that feat at some point. Which gives it a tiny, cheesy, yet tangible advantage. |

Right, ok, that makes more sense, we've never used the retraining rules before so I never would have thought of that. I agree that there's really little reason beyond flavor to not use Stronghearts; it was just the way you said it was funny. |
