| enygmatic_me03-29-07, 10:28 PM | There is another thread about the Hellbred right now that brought to my attention that Helbred speak all languages they knew in their former life. So, does this mean a former Druid who was once Helbred can speak Druidic? Seems like an easy path to Fochlucan Lyrist if that is the case. |

| Perun03-30-07, 02:02 AM | There is another thread about the Hellbred right now that brought to my attention that Helbred speak all languages they knew in their former life. So, does this mean a former Druid who was once Helbred can speak Druidic? Seems like an easy path to Fochlucan Lyrist if that is the case. The whole sentence about hellbred languages known is silly. Everyone would be playing former grey/sun elves with Int 20, for those five extra languages. it's not like the languages actually matter, or anything... Right? :P I'd say a hellbred knows languages he knew in his former life, but up to his current Int modifier. That means that even if he was a former Int 20 grey elf who spoke Common, Elven, and five other languages, but now has Int 13 as a hellbred, he'd get to pick one language (aside from Common) out of six (elven + five others). And druidic would be off the list, even if the grey elf was actually a druid. But, I suppose I'm talking house-rules here. I guess, by the RAW, a player could pick about any dozen languages he wanted, including the restricted ones. Who can say his character wasn't an epic character in his previous life :P Regards. |

If this is the case, then in a RAW run game Fochlucan Lyrist would be accessible by a Bard/Cleric with the right domains. In a FR campaign a Cleric with the right domains and the Harper Priest PrC (if I'm remembering correctly) would also qualify as Harper Priest grants a Bardic Knowledge-esque ability. Could make some interesting NPC's, not so sure I want my players to know though. |
