Shubert 08-20-07, 02:30 AM	So I'm attempting to create a kuo-toan character, using the monster manual and savage species just to figure out the base creature stuff. In page 163 of the monster manual it says a kuo-toa's level adjustment is +3, but on page 12 of savage species, it says it's +2. Which one is correct, or are they saying different things? Also, if you have any previous experience playing a kuo-toan character, all input is appreciated, thanks!
Negeta 08-20-07, 02:40 AM	While I don't have experience with Kuo-toa, I do have experience making monstrous characters. The +3 LA in the Monstrous Manual is correct, since it's the latest 3.5 content. Savage Species is 3.0, and is a little out of date. Also, don't forget the 2 racial hit die, so a kuo-toa is an ECL of 5, since it has 2 hit die. That means it'll have a BAB, saves, and skills as a 2 HD monstrous humanoid before you add any class levels. Hope that was a help.
