here's what I've got so far. It's a mooshing together of wolf and aasimar.

Heavenly Wolf as PC
- +2 Strength, +4 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, -8 (ish) Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -4 (ish) Charisma
- Size Medium
- 50 feet of movement
- +2 racial bonus on Spot and Listen checks, and +4 Survival when tracking by scent
- Low-light vision, darkvision 60, Scent
- daylight once per day as a sorcerer of its level
- Resistance to acid 5, cold 5, and electricity 5
- +2 natural armor
- A bite attack that deals 1d6 + 1.5 Strength bonus in damage. A heavenly wolf that hits with the bite attack may attempt to trip its opponent as a free action.
- Track as a bonus feat
- Quadrupedal (bonuses on carrying capacity, and +4 on opposed trip checks)
- Two levels in Animal (class skills Hide, Move Silently, Listen, Spot, Survival)
- Ability to understand Common and Celestial, but cannot speak intelligibly
- No fine manipulators
- Possible restrictions on the use of certain magic items, including but not limited to belts, cloaks, etc.

I am not a level adjustment guru, so it's hard for me to accurately price this stuff. Any help with finding a good LA would be appreciated.

Sounds a little like the silver wolves from Dennis L. McKiernan's series of books.

As for a LA, I don't want to guess, but it will be pretty high.

The large penalty to int is problematic, and more fitting for an animal than a PC. Practically all characters will end up with int 3.
