High LA, what race? [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-19-07, 11:41 PM I'm looking for a race that has the highest LA I am currently playing a rakshasa (LA +7) I'm sure there is something with a higher one but it can't be a dragon or something like that, I want a real playable race.

(No homebrew please, sorry
no templates either a race by itself please&thanks)

07-20-07, 01:44 AM Cerebrilith is a level adjustment +9, its from the expanded psionics. Thats the highest I can think of.

Yuan-Ti Anathema from Fiend Folio are only +6 LA; they've got 22 HD, though.

Yuan-ti anathema is from Fiend Folio. It's actually +6 LA with 22 HD, so 28 ECL. Sillit Nerra from the same book however, those guys have +18 LA with 7 HD. That's the highest level adjustment I've ever seen, but not the highest ECL.

I think it is actually 7 HD and LA+11, for a total ECL of 18 (as per the earlier paragraph). Still equally unplayable though.

Ghaele has 10 HD and LA+10, for ECL20, though I feel it is one of the more powerful races out there.
