| RollaD2008-04-07, 08:37 PM | I have other threads asking about best classes for high strength characters and best weps but not one one best race so i figured i would try it: a Half dragon, Half ogre, Stone Giant effectively: 8+10+16=+34 im not at all familiar with the rules for multiple templates so bear with me but is that the absolutely highest bonus racial str thingy possibly available in the 3.5 rules? or is there higher? i know some people will say im power gaming when actually, i just love shooting for the sky with high strength guys its an entertainment thang. oh well i digress, any advice for the party's highest hitter? |

What's even better, this is only CR 19 right now. |

However, the ECL of a were-roc is epic even before you figure out what type of giant to apply it to. Currently, Pun-Pun is the highest-Strength build possible. He was a kobold wizard Character Optimization experiment involving a lizard race from an FR supplement that can morph other lizard-like creatures to have abilities it has. The build uses a loop involving Metamorphic Transfer and alter self to have the kobold give his familiar the morphing ability, then having the familiar give it back. The kobold can then use enlarge self to boost his Strength, then pass permanent, typeless, cumulative Strength boosts back and forth between himself and his familiar ad nauseum. If you're going for a clean (read: non-cheezy and low-LA) high-Strength build, I'd recommend the Half-Giant from the Expanded Psionics Handbook. Half-Giants can take advantage of the Psionic Weapon feat chain (expend focus to deal extra d6s of damage and resolve melee attacks as touch attacks) without having to actually take levels in a psionic class or take the Wild Talent feat. |

| RollaD2008-05-07, 11:42 AM | The Pun-Pun Build is fun but its waay too easy to abuse. The Half-Roc is Out Of the Question. The infinite Template Thing Would Eventually Cause Confliction along the line somewhere and i already know my DM wont want me to play that thing (even if it is pretty creative). might try a half giant, whats the strength bonus and LA on them? |

| lord_xarallon08-05-07, 05:18 PM | Orcs. They have the highest str with the lowest ECL (0). |

| RollaD2008-05-07, 10:27 PM | the closest thing to it that i have made today is a: half-troll half-dragon half-fiend half-minotaur half-ogre stone giant lycanthrope afflicted dire were boar with an LA of +20 and a +90-100+ strength bonus but itd be aweful in an epic campaign as with only 1HD hed have what? 12hp tops? (this is minus all the levels of giant, monstrous humanoid, and such) |
