I made a homebrew planetouched race from a true nuetral or nature-based plane.

Vanderor; D&D Race.

- +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma.
- Medium size.
- A vanderor's base land speed is 30 feet.
- Darkvision: Vanderors can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
- Racial Skills: Vanderors have a +2 racial bonus on Survival and Search checks.
- Spell-Like Abilities: 1/day - dominate animal. Caster level equals vanderor's class level.
- Special Qualities: Resistance to acid 5, cold 5, and fire 5.
- Automatic Languages: Common, Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Halfling.
- Favored Class: Ranger.
- Level adjustment +1.

It's fine and balanced, though you could get rid of the +1 LA if you added a -2 to two abilities, like Intelligence and Strength (two abilities most rangers don't use, if they go for the Archery path).

One thing: Why the resistances?

One thing: Why the resistances?

I tried combining the Tiefling's and the Aasimar's resistances. I didn't do very well, in my opinion.

Aren't their resistances based on their Celestial/Fiendish inheritance?

If you want to calculate resistances, you have to determine from which outsider they descend from, and convert their immunities into resistances.

Alright, I looked up the Celestial Creature template, and apparently it can be added to any good or nuetral creature. So, being that this planetouched race is based around nuetrality, I changed the race's resistances to reflect that of a Celestial inheritance.

True, but that would basically imply that they somehow descend from Celestials, Fiends or both. I was under the impression you were trying to create a new breed of Planetouched, from a completely different source.

If I may, Select an Outsider to be your base creature and figure out what it would be like after 5 generations of mortal blood dilutes it.

A neutral outsider like a Mercane or Rilmani or if you are going towards a more Nature based creation. Locate a plant like outsider or elemental. A genasi may be what you are looking for.

Please tell me if this was a good idea or not, but I found this template for an Animal Lord of The Beastlands on the following site;

Changes will be made accordingly for now.
