Warforged are becoming popular in some gaming group...but a question remain: How does a Warforged voic sound?

It probably has intonation or emotion in it, pretty much like an human voice....but im quite sure its not like an organic voice! I think it probably sound like if someone was talking from inside a big resonnating armor. Kinda like Alphonse Elric, from Full Metal Alchemist...
Or maybe they got unemotive and really robotic voice...like Soundwave..

I dont have any other clue and its just a theory...

I think it'd have a slightly metallic sound to it, with an almost hollow resonance, due to their magical animation.

I always thought of SOUNDWAVE from The Transformers (Gen 1), his voice had just a cool sound.

Yeah...soundwave has an amazing voice..but maybe a Warforged whit a very low charisma COULD have that kind of voice?

Ok how about this.

Soundwave or Omega Supreme: low Cha.
Grimlock: low Int.
: low Wis.
Optimus Prime or Megatron: High Cha.
Shockwave or Percepter: High Int.
Ultra Magnus or Cyclonus: High Wis.

I'd say that they sound like the Transformers, or maybe just like the droids from Star Wars.

The speech would be as their mental attributes, but each should have some sort of mechanical quality. Synthing it like Soundwave, reverbing it like Al Elric, or montoning it like Stephen Hawking each would be good alternatives.

What? You didn't know that Hawking was Warforged?

Remember the whole "why did people vote for the succubus paladin?" contest? One of the characters was a warforged ninja. The first thing that popped in to my head when I saw that was "Query: Is there someone that you need killed, master?"

In other words, I have HK-47 for male warforged, and Rosie from Jetsons as most female warforged.

Yeah...soundwave has an amazing voice..but maybe a Warforged whit a very low charisma COULD have that kind of voice?

Nah, Soundwave has mad high Charisma. That's why his voice is so awesome.

Have you ever seen the Guyver movies? Guyver 2; Dark Hero?

I picture warforged sounding like that, slightly off tone, with a miniature, nearly imperceptible echo quality to it.

Very cool stuff.

I have seen the Guyver movies, even though I really wish I hadn't seen the 1st one (I AM THE GUYVER!), the 2nd one was OK (Out of control.), the anime was better. I digress, it would be a good sound for their voices.

I like to let my Construct PC's pick their voice. Flat and robot sounding, or with emotion and pitch.

A good example of how I've played them is with a voice like the "Stealth Suits" on Warhammer 40K. The Tau Empire owns...if you don't have Dawn Of War, go out and buy it right now. Then you can see what I mean by their voices, and have fun all at once.

I agree Hk-47 would be a great style of voice for a warforge. I played a warforge monk with the voice like mister spock of star trek. he had a high WIS and INT but a CHA Of a 9

I don't think warforged beings have voices, like they communicate by telepathy or something like that.
Darth Syntax

Considering the large amount of wood and other organic material in Warforged, I have been imagining their voices as sounding something an androgynous human voice, but with the vocal apparatus replaced with something a bit more like a stringed instrument. So they would sound like a cello or viola that was capable of speech.

If I played a warforged, i'd have him sound like Bender from Futurama. That'd be my inspiration for the charcter. Warforged rogue. Yeah, stealing stuff and quaffing potions like crazy.

Like "God" from Futurama, but the voice sounds like it's coming out of a radio a few feet away from you. The result voice sounds like a human, but the way his tone fluctuates makes him sound like his phrases are comprised of multiple recordings stringed together and gives you the feeling that it's not of a normal person. The way it sounds like a distant, fuzzy playback gives it away that it's from a construct.

I always picture them sounding just likes humans, except for the clicking and clanking of thier jaws as they move them and when they hit together. Maybe a very slight metallic reverberation depending on how big/hollow thier jaw/head is.

For my part I've always imagined them as sounding like lobot from starwars: the empire strikes back. They sound reasonably normal, but since they have no real emotion to drive thier tone and inflection, just the speed they speak or the way they deliver thier speech. I usually just think of them as speaking normally and sounding normally enough, but thier lack of emotion lending an oddly disconcerting feeling to thier speech.

I feel that regardless of the voice, ALL constructs should state their feelings and emotions like HK does. >=3

"Delighted: Yes, that equipment would prove quite useful."

"Eager threat: I advise you release my bard master before I have to engage defensive destruction protocol."

"Weary sigh: Must you drink all the time, Master?"

"Unforgiving: Did you enjoy that painful wound, Meatbag?"

Yessss....all you would need is a large dictionary full of adjectives and adverbs...excellent.

I like the manner in which Pierce talks from the Eberron trilogy, The Dreaming Dark.

I've assumed their voices are human-like, but always too flat with a hint of a metallic quality. Like blurry voices when you're dreaming.

When I played a warforged with my group, I would speak breathing in rather than breathing out. (Very shallow breathing so that you don't get that piercing sound.) While it hurt at first, I figured out how to do it without killing myself and gives a nice hollow, monotone quality to your voice.

What about K.A.R.R. from Knightrider?

Both K.A.R.R. and K.I.T.T. would make good Warforged voices.

Although Peter Cullen was the voice actor in only one episode that K.A.R.R. is in (the other, K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R. 2, the latter was voiced by someone else). And it's funny that the man who would go on to play Mr. Finey in Boy Meets World is K.I.T.T.'s voice.

It depends on the class/character of the warforged. I have a warforged sorcerer with a horrendous wisdom, and he talks like 343 Guilty Spark from Halo. A friend of mine has a warforged bard who only talks in clips from songs. A warforged NPC aristocrat sounded like Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide.

All Warforged sound and act exactly like Data. It's not monotone or echoey but it's still emotionless. Or like some Vulcans maybe.

I actually played a Darth-Vader inspired character before.

He was originally a Human Fighter (LG turned LN after several events) but after a time something went wrong and he was killed. The party couldn't get access to a Raise Dead spell, so they settled for Reincarnation. The DM rolled 100 and all our jaws dropped. Since it was late in the night already, the DM called it quits for that adventure and we all left.

The next adventure, I woke up in my new, Warforged body. After this, I became Lawful Evil and started to make my way towards the Soul Eater PrC. It was at this point that I really started to go with the DV aspects for him. It was great!

And as such, I really find voices like DV, and the transformers to fit the best with the Warforged. I really like the idea of Soudwave. Hadn't thought of him!
