Frogmantis 08-07-07, 05:51 PM	yes, in the right setting. they have SR, good stats, spell-like abilities. the minus to con and light sensitivity (and any social issues when on the surface, etc) are pretty much outweighed by their abilities. that said, it would be hard to have one in a lower level campaign, or if you were a spellcaster, as you would be pretty restricted. getting your first level while everyone else is at 3rd is pretty rough.
Lawlicron 08-07-07, 11:22 PM	If you want to be cheap as hell with it and not worry about the whole being a drow thing while actually being a drow. You could play an Albino Drow (From Drow of the Underdark, its described there under the monster section) with a mental disorder called Disassociative Fugue. It doesn't make you crazy or anything, you just look like a normal elf but have super sweet abilities and don't remember your past life. Its the cheesiest thing you can do with flavor alone.
