I want to play grimtooth's race [Archive] - Wizards Community

As in Grimtooth as in grimtooth's traps

He calls himself a troll, but seems far too intelligent and kinda scrawny to be a standard troll.

I want to create it as an ecl 0 race based on him that has serious potential.

here's what I got so far
Trap Troll

In the troll family, these trolls stick out like a sore thumb. They kinda scawny with large black eyes and are reknown as trapmakers. dubbed trap trolls, they are malevelont, but in a decidedly civilized way and are often found peddling their wares in big cities.

Size: Medium
Base Speed: 30 feet
Darkvision: see core rules 1 for the full rules. it has a range of 60 feet.
Low Light vision: see Core rules 1
* +2 con, -2 cha - mainly because people get grumpy when they give trolls intelligence bonuses.
* +2 to craft (trapmaking) and disarm trap: Trap Trolls know how to build traps better then most. Only kobolds are equal in their endevors.
+1 natural armor class. Part of their trollish heritage consists of giving them a slightly
natural claws - do 1d3 damage and do not provoke an attack of oppertunity.
Preferred class: rogue

Common Feats Available: Alertness, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Improved Grapple, Improved Initiative, *Improved Natural Attack, @Improved Natural Armor, !Improved Scent, @Jotenbrud, *Scent, !Uncanny Scent

still not sure how to give him a touch of regeneration without giving him an ecl. any ideas

also anything to improve the concept would be most helpful. As is, he still feels kinda underpowered for an ecl 0 race

He was the spokesperson for a series of books produced by a third party in the 80's that were how to create particularly malevolent traps.
