| NinjaPenguin06-25-07, 01:24 AM | I'm sure somebody has thought to do this before, but for the life of me I can't find it, so here's an attempt at a Racial Paragon Class for the Illumian (from Races of Destiny). Since Illumians are of the (Human) subtype, I'm using it as a base. HD: d8 Skills: 4+Int Mod per level. Class Skills: Any seven skills plus Knowledge (any) and Craft. (Speak Language is always a class skill for Illumians by default) Level BAB F/R/W Special Spells, etc 1 +0 +0/+0/+2 Augmented Sigil, Improved Resonance. 2 +1 +0/+0/+3 Bonus Feat +1 level 3 +2 +1/+1/+3 Ability Boost (Int +2) +1 level Augmented Sigil: The bonus to checks granted by each of your Power Sigils increases by +1. Improved Resonance: Add your Illumian Racial Paragon level to your character level for purposes of your Glyphic Resonance. Bonus Feat: An Illumian Paragon may select any feat she qualifies for as a bonus feat. Ability Boost: An Illumian adds a +2 typeless bonus to their Intelligence score. Spells, etc: At 2nd and 3rd level, an Illumian Paragon adds one to any one spellcaster, manifester, meldshaper, invoker, initiator, or any similar sort of level for purposes of gaining relevant abilities and resources: Spells per day and known, power points and powers known, essentia and soulmelds/binds, etc. The choice need not be the same for both levels, but she may only choose one class to apply the bonus to each level. How does it look? Under/Overpowered? Flavor tweaks you'd add? Already a totally different, possibly official one out there? I know the Spells, etc could be worded better... |

Easiest way round that is to just grant the feat as a bonus feat, or the suppress sigil one if they have it already. |

Yeah, but if you have say, 2 spellcasting classes, the bonus applies to both (e.g. wizard & cleric going to Thurge) One could even argue that because it is a generic caster level bonus, it could apply to psion manifester levels. But mainly because the "minority" caster classes get little material outside their specific book, while divine & arcane are usually included on the minority books too. |
