| Xillian04-24-07, 03:53 PM | The statistics of some creatures and animals point out that they can become larger than normal when gaining HD. But does increased HD also increases the size of a druid's or ranger's animal companion (if the statistics say the creature can be larger)? |
| Thomar_of_Uointer04-24-07, 04:43 PM | It has been assumed that animal companions don't increase in size from bonus Hit Dice. They're not actual advancement, they're merely a bonus granted by the druid. |
| Kadasbrass04-24-07, 07:14 PM | That and advancement is merely a suggestion for DMs anyhow on how to alter creatures. |
| Kouk04-24-07, 08:50 PM | Companions are not actually advancing by themselves, they gain their abilities by being associated with a druid and do not get bigger. |
