interperatiation of CG or NG alighnments [Archive] - Wizards Community

I am currently playing a half elf / half celestial cleric! That is by the by, being a half helf she has taken the typical elf alignment of being chaotic good!

What I would like is further expansion and others opinion on what the chaotic good alignment means, if I submit my opinion on what I feel it means and invite others to either agree or disagree with me please feel free to do so as long as it is constructive!

Believes in the greater good, laws and regulations don’t always cover this adequately.
Doesn’t follow rules for its own sake.
Believes in the result not the process
Is results driven
Is pro a good out come, despite what the law / policy states.

This is a short thing I know, but in general I know is this right, please feel free to add to this is this chaotic good or more neutral good

Self-sacrificing is the essential of goodness. Not many seem to remember this.

Seems about right. One thing you have to keep in mind is that even if they are results-driven etc. they will still not agree with "Ends justify the means" schools of thought if the means are evil. Indeed, a chaotic good character is likely to do the good thing there and then, regardless of the outcome or consequences.

Some chaotics are rebels, and deliberately flaunt laws for the sake of it. Some are individuals and will do what they wish, be that breaking or following them.
