Iron Souled Dwarf Question. [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-13-07, 04:45 AM I am playing a (Permanent) Iron-souled dwarf,
My question is that it says advancement: same as base creature
and Character ECL: a character that begins play with a permanent iron-souled template has an ECL of +3, what is the level adjustment if any? I'm confused because I havent seen this type of configuration very often.

03-13-07, 09:15 AM IIRC, Iron Souled is a template from a 3rd party published book (by Green Ronin?)... As a Third Party published template, I suspect that they mixed up their terminology and meant LA +3 when they said ECL +3. I know that when I first started looking at the LA +x races/templates, I would refer to them as ECL +x races/templates when I was speaking from memory.

03-13-07, 01:32 PM The reason I asked this is because the Half-Elemental template says, advanvement: same as base creature, and this template has many of the same ability bonuses as the Iron-Souled template but says nothing about a level adjustment. I wasn't sure why this was stated this way, unless it is not thought of as appropriate for player characters. Any help will be appreciated. Do you know if this has a level adjustment also?
