07-09-07, 06:09 PM If you have races of Dragon or Draconimicon handy, I recomend just grabbing two or three draconic words and shoving themtogether. that, or just use Deekin, it was a decent kobold name.

You obviously lack experience in kobold-heavy campaigns. Get your DM races of the dragon, then see how much fodder kobolds are.

That's interesting, because Super Mario Bros. 3 got the names for the Koopa Kids from various rock stars.

Our DM tried that. We brought out the other races books, and built four of the most broken characters we could. The goliath fighter put a whole new meaning on the word fodder.

As for kobold names...check Draconomicon. It's got a pretty decent Draconic dictionary you can use for names. I'm also quite fond of Deekin and Meepo :D

I can't help but notice that Amphiptere looks like ampitheter. If its a girl kobold (and especially if she s a druid or other nature class) name it Alexstrasa. If its a boy take a page out of the book of dragonlance gnomes, for example:

Also it must be said really fast and all one word while taking as few breaths as possible.

07-15-07, 07:12 AM I've had the opportunity to play a kobold on two occasions, once as a cleric by the name of Talmalak, and once as a barbarian by the name of Servikan. I think with the yapping way they talk they would probably have quick, harsh names.

I had a DM that changed the rules of Dragonborn, once. I ended up taking the armor substitution alternate from Dragon Magic and played a Dragonborn Orc, and my DM let me take a feat for claws. The whole thing was based off Bowser.

That said, names (such as Deekin and, oddly enough, Lemmy) always sounded like good names for Kobolds to me. Still, you could try a google search for the draconic language, I know I've seen it around the internet.

I never got to play him, but my Kobold was going to be a cleric named Aussir (meaning "white" in draconic.)

However, numbers may be more useful if you are invading a tribe. The party wizard, holding any area affect wand that does damagae: "Seeing as there are 75 of them and 4 of us," *sneezes* "correction: 18 of them and 4 of us". :D
