The most widely accepted belief is that the Koloko were several tribes of Gnomes that were captured and enslaved by the Formians. A combination of Formian experiments and natural adaptation resulted in the Koloko. The Koloko’s skill in stealth was as they say a result of their planning of an exodus from the caves of the Formians. Personality: Koloko are not very social people. However their suspicion fosters intense family and friendship bonds with their allies, whom they usually trust unconditionally. Physical Description: Koloko Females stand about 2 ˝ feet tall with males standing several inches taller with none standing taller than 3 feet. Koloko look like Bipedal ants the size of tall Gnomes. Their exoskeleton ranges from Burgundy to Black and every shade in between. Some Koloko are multi-colored, even patterned. Though this is very rare. Koloko have three fingered hands that look like an ant’s feet. Despite their appearance these hands are just as dexterous as five-fingered hands. Koloko are considered adults at 30 years and live to about 200 years. Koloko can rotate their heads like owls and are fond of disturbing their enemies with this feature. Racial Traits • +2 Dexterity +2 Constitution -2 Strength Koloko are dexterous and their exoskeleton grants them sturdiness but their small stature makes them weak. • + 2 Natural Armor the Koloko’s exoskeleton is quite tough. • Base speed 30ft, climb speed 20 ft, burrow speed 10 feet. Koloko’s hands allow them to climb easily and their subterranean nature fosters digging skill • +5 on Hide checks, +5 on Move silently and +8 on Climb checks. • Small Size • LA +2 • Favored Class Rouge |

I don't actually know if they actually *need* a +5 racial bonus on hide checks (they already gain +4 from small size and +1 from dexterity bonus). Most of that LA (+2) you listed comes from climb and burrow speeds. It's a cool feature, but you should describe the burrow speed more. Does it leave a tunnel? Does it work only in unworked ground? Does it work in solid rock? They look like ants. Should they be quadruped (some more carrying capacity and bonus to resist tripping)? And I always thought that rouge was a color and rogue was a character class. Please notify me if I'm mistaken ;) |
