Anyways, I'm going to allow LA +1 in the next campaign I run and was wondering if anyone has a list of LA +1 races. I have already gone through my books and made a list, but I plan to buy more books soon, and this will probably influence my decision. Thanks in advance! Dan

Grizzled Gryphon 05-31-07, 04:28 PM	The Feral Gungan and the Goatfolk have racial hit die, I believe. I don't know if this matters or not, though. And there may be other creatures on the list with racial hit die, I don't know. I may be wrong about the Goatfolk, but I am pretty sure the Feral Gungan does. Haven't looked at them in a while, though.

Anyways, I think I decided on making everyone be LA +1 (unless they choose Kobold)... this way, I believe there will be more variety. I'm too used to having nothing but races in the PHB. And lastly... I went to amazon.com and checked Underdark, but it says I should have Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting first. Is this true? If so, is there anything else I should watch out for? I had initially wanted to stay away from... I don't know how to put it, but specific stuff like Faerun and Eberron. At least, to my understanding they're different enough that you shouldn't mix them (I don't own any books like that, just what I've picked up). But still, if anyone uses material from different settings like that, please tell. Dan

The Underdark book is a Forgotten Realms book, yes. Most of the material in it should still be useable in any setting that features a large underground cave "realm" of sorts.
Thief_of_Hope 06-02-07, 12:57 AM	I own Underdark, and it works just fine if you don't have Forgotton Realms. There may be a few things that mention "Regions" as prerequisites for feats or prestige classes, I just ignore them. It's a good book.
danzibr 06-02-07, 02:23 PM	Alright... thanks a lot people. So Underdark is on the list. Last question (as of now): what book is the Eldritch Knight type class/PrC in? I know that was really vague and is going away from LA +1, but I read somewhere that there's either a class or prestige class similar to EK, but slightly better. Yadot 06-02-07, 02:43 PM	I think you mean Duskblade. It's in the Player's Handbook II. I'd recommend it anyway though. IMO it's the third best non-core book made by WotC.
