LA abilities [Archive] - Wizards Community

ie fly speed LA+1
the fly speed of the raptoran LA+0

02-28-07, 10:39 AM Flying with a maneuverability rating of average or lower is an LA+1. Good maneuverability or better is LA+2. Raptorans are LA+0 because they do not become able to fly until 5th level.

02-28-07, 10:52 AM I can't say this will answer all of your problems, but Yabathewhat's feature points (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=667683) assigns a point value to all abilities, and each LA will have a range of point totals. The thread is a little poorly organized, but if you're willing to read it, there is a lot of good info there. Hope this helps.

02-28-07, 11:26 AM Such lists do exist, Savage Species is the only official one. However, all point-based or adjustment-based systems are doomed to fail because of the complexity of how abilities stack and overlap. You're better off using the acid test, making a level 1 character of your race and comparing him to a human with varying levels in the same class until you find a good fit.
